Australia batting ace Steve Smith is being widely considered as the best Test batsman in the world right now and also among the best of all time. Well, his performance and stats basically prove that. No batsman has actually been as consistent as the former Australia skipper in the longest format of the game.
Not just in Australia, he has proved himself in all the parts of the world including India and England which are considered as 2 of the hardest places to tour. In the 2015 Ashes series in England, he scored a couple of tons, including a double century at Lord’s while the 2017 tour of India he score as many as 3 centuries in four games.
Last year, he further boosted his reputation as the best Test batsman in the world with a stunning performance in the Ashes. Regardless of returning to Test cricket after more than a year, the right-handed batsman scored a staggering 774 runs in just 7 innings with the help of 3 centuries and 3 fifties.
No surprises that Steve Smith is currently the top-ranked Test batsman. While the Australia batting star may be the toughest batsman to bowl to for current bowlers, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar thinks that it would be an easy job for him to dismiss the batsman.
Even today, 3 hurting bouncers and i can dismiss @stevesmith49 on the 4th ball. Lol https://t.co/6vvmrfFHNK

Shoaib Akhtar was responding to a tweet from a news outlet which pitched players of different generation against each other and asked the fans to pick their favourite battle. Shoaib Akhtar was pitched against Steve Smith but he probably found it amusing as he said it would take him just 4 balls to dismiss the Aussie batsman.
