OUT! Caught & Bowled. Mitchell Starc to Naseem Shah. Back of a length, down leg side on the back foot defending, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled back to bowler, by Starc. The easiest of return catches for Starc to clean up the final wicket. Quick and at the body of the youngster who spoons the ball straight back to the bowler. Pakistan end 240 all out in what was a very up and down innings. A 75 run opening partnership got them underway before a collapse saw them lose four wickets for three runs. Asad Shafiq then lead the fightback along with Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Shah.Australia will be the happier of the two teams though after they lost the toss yet managed to take 10 wickets on day one. All of the pace bowlers were impressive and all managed to chip in with wickets, along with Nathan Lyon. It is down to their batsmen tomorrow to make the good start count on what was a relatively flat wicket.

OUT! Bowled. Pat Cummins to Asad Shafiq. Seaming in length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, missed to. Lovely delivery to the settled batsman. Jagging back more than enough to find the gap between bat and pad. A beauty to dismiss Asad Shafiq.

OUT! Caught. Mitchell Starc to Shaheen Afridi. Out-swinging length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Two in a row. Onto Afridi so quick and the late movement flicks the outside edge. Nobody spots it other than Steve Smith who orders Paine to take the review. Genuine edge and a very easy decision to overturn. The 16 year old is going to come out and face the hat-trick delivery.

OUT! Bowled. Mitchell Starc to Yasir Shah. In-swinging yorker, middle stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Too good for most batsmen. Full and straight, with late swing at pace. Hit the front pad of Yasir before he could manage to get the bat down. Just what Australia wanted.

OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Mohammad Rizwan. Back of a length, outside off stump no foot movement pushing, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. One shot too many from Rizwan. Trying to force it away through the off side without the feet or body getting in position. Hang on, we are checking the no-ball. This looks very close and it seems there is nothing behind the line, but the third umpire gives it out. Very interesting decision and I think we might be hearing about this for a while.

W
OUT! Caught. Nathan Lyon to Iftikhar Ahmed. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, bat-pad to short leg, by Labuschagne. Instant impact from Lyon in his second spell. Pitches it on a perfect line first ball and finds enough grip to catch the inside edge which ballooned off the pad towards short leg.

W
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to first slip, by Burns. Pakistan are falling apart. It is a poor shot from Babar, chasing a full, wide delivery but the edge is taken superbly by Burns. That type of shot might have worked against the white ball but not the red one which still has a bit in it.

OUT! Caught. Mitchell Starc to Haris Sohail. Back of a length, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Not the shot you want from your number three when the pressure is on. Hard hands against a wide ball with the feet not going anywhere. Too short to be trying to drive. Definitely Australia's session since lunch.

OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Azhar Ali. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Burns. Bang, bang go Australia. The previous delivery nipped in while this one held its line and found the outside edge. This was always the danger for Pakistan once the Aussie bowlers found their line and length.

W
OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Shan Masood. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, leading edge to second slip, by Smith. The wicket had been coming for a couple of overs. Masood was roughed up by Cummins and co and he looked out of sorts. It wasn't the real short ball which ended up getting him out but the one which reached him at hip height which he felt could be worked away. Nice catch from Smith and Australia have their first.

W
OUT! L.B.W. Yasir Shah to Josh Hazlewood. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Yasir Shah will finish with four wickets. Pitched on the stumps, turning into Hazlewood and struck him in front of the stumps. Easy decision for the umpire to make.Australia are all out for 580 and that is a lead of 340. It has been a fantastic performance from the batsmen, pouncing on anything that was too wide or short. Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner both smashed centuries while Matthew Wade added a fifty.A real learning curve for the young Pakistan bowling attack after spending over 157 overs in the field. They were made to work hard on a flat wicket in the heat and now their batsmen have a lot of work to do.

W
OUT! Caught. Imran Khan to Pat Cummins. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, bottom edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. Wide, inviting the drive and Cummins cannot resist. Chases after it but not in position to make a decent connection and it's a tiny edge which only just carries to Rizwan.

W
OUT! L.B.W. Yasir Shah to Mitchell Starc. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the back foot working, hit pad to. Struck plumb in front. Didn't pick the leg break and went back to a delivery which was smashing into middle stump. Not the best review from Mitchell Starc.

W
OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Tim Paine. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, bottom edge in the air uncontrolled to second slip, by Shafiq. The Aussie captain can't join his comrades in piling on the runs as he falls for 13. Cramped up by a sharp delivery which follows him and gets him into an awkward position. Little underedge, onto thigh pad and loops up to second slip.

W
OUT! Caught. Haris Sohail to Travis Head. Stock length ball, down leg side on the back foot glancing, inside edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. A real strangle down the leg side. Not the best delivery from Haris but he found the tiniest of edges and Rizwan took a very good catch moving to his right.

W
OUT! Caught. Haris Sohail to Matthew Wade. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. And out of nowhere comes the wicket. Wade trying to be too cute and get the ball too fine but doesn't account for the lack of spin. Slides across him and it's a healthy edge which thuds into the thigh of Rizwan and rolls up to his stomach and allows him to cling on.

W
OUT! Bowled. Yasir Shah to Steven Smith. Leg spinner half volley, off stump on the front foot flick, missed to. Smith is on his way. He has played all around a straight delivery and is bowled for just four runs. Strange dismissal but a lazy stroke from the number one Test batsman in the world. Stunned silence all around the Gabba.

OUT! Caught. Naseem Shah to David Warner. Short, outside off stump swayed away Leave, bottom edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. A ripper of a delivery to get your first Test wicket. Angled into the batsman from around the wicket and there was nowhere for Warner to go. It has been superb bowling from Pakistan this morning and this was well deserved. Top knock from Warner and he walks off to a standing ovation from the Brisbane crowd.

W
OUT! Bowled. Yasir Shah to Joe Burns. Leg spinner length ball, down leg side on the front foot sweeping, bottom edge to. Falls three short of a century. It was a change of angle from Yasir Shah to come around the wicket and it brought about a different approach by the batsman. Looking to sweep against the turn and unlucky to find a bottom edge back onto the stumps.

OUT! Caught. Mitchell Starc to Imran Khan. Length ball, off stump backing away Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid on, by Wade. That will be the end. Imran Khan wanted a second piece of Starc but the left-arm seamer is too clever and he follows the batsmen, giving him no room. Straight up into the sky and Wade safely pouches the catch.A dominant performance from Australia to win by an innings and five runs but they were made to work hard today. Pakistan's batsmen battled hard with Babar Azam scoring a classy century while Mohammad Rizwan fell just short of what would have been a maiden ton.An all round solid performance by the Aussies. Runs on the board, followed by some blistering opening spells in both innings which put Pakistan on the back foot and they could never recover. Australia go 1-0 up in the two match series as we move onto Adelaide for the day/night Test on the 29th. That should be fun so do join us then.

OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Shaheen Afridi. Back of a length, down leg side backing away pulling, Spliced in the air uncontrolled to short extra cover, by Cummins. Far too quick for Shaheen. Hits the bat hard before he is in any sort of position to play the shot. Lobs up to Cummins who has the easy job of taking the catch.

OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Yasir Shah. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, leading edge in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Wade. Probably not the best ball Hazlewood has ever bowled but it goes down as a wicket in the scorebook. A well made 42 from Yasir and he will be disappointed to miss out on a freebie down the leg side.

OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Mohammad Rizwan. Short, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep backward point, by Lyon. Can you believe it? Rizwan has battled so hard to get to 95 but he has given his wicket away. The fielder in the deep has not had to move a muscle as Rizwan picked him out beautifully. That could be the game done and dusted.

OUT! Caught. Nathan Lyon to Babar Azam. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Finally the breakthrough Australia have been searching for for a long time. This partnership has flourished but Babar succumbs to Nathan Lyon. A shot he has played so well all day turns out to be his downfall. Thin edge through to Paine and the Aussie captain does the rest.

OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Iftikhar Ahmed. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Wickets in consecutive overs. Exactly what Pakistan fans were dreading once the first wicket fell. Decent delivery from Hazlewood as it pitched on a perfect line with enough movement to get the edge. Could this be done by lunch?

OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Shan Masood. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, top edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. First breakthrough for Australia this morning. A steady partnership was building but it was the short ball above Masood's head which was his downfall. Too high to try and control even though he was in position to play it. Tiniest of edges which all of the Aussies and the umpire heard.

OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Asad Shafiq. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to second slip, by Smith. Absolutely brilliant from Cummins. Ball before nipped back while he managed to straighten this one from a perfect line and Asad Shafiq could only edge it to the slips. The worst case scenario for Pakistan.

OUT! Caught. Mitchell Starc to Haris Sohail. Back of a length, outside off stump no foot movement pushing, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Carbon copy dismissal from the first innings. Short of a length and he wants to put bat on ball but there is no benefit to taking this on. Healthy edge and Paine does the rest. Australia are all over Pakistan right now.

OUT! L.B.W. Mitchell Starc to Azhar Ali. Length ball, to leg on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Early strike for Mitchell Starc. Just what Australia would have wanted when they were bowled out earlier. Perfect line and length to the right-hander, trapping Azhar on the crease and the umpire's finger goes up. Clipping the top of the stumps so the decision will remain as out even after the review.
