Pakistan will return to international cricket with their tour to England slated to get underway from August 5. The tour will include a three-Test series, which concludes on August 25 followed by a 3-match T20I series, which will run from 28th to September 1. It will be the second series straight for England after hosting the West Indies in Test cricket.
Pakistan showed up in England for the tour last month. The side is also going through intra-squad matches to prepare themselves for the series’ against England. The first two-day match was played between July 5 and 6 while the second match took place between 11th and 12th. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Azhar Ali led the two teams for the warm-up games, which are played to give a fair reflection about the form of the players.

However, former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal made stinging remarks about the touring party. He stated that the team includes a lot of young players, and it will be challenging for them to deal with England. Ajmal also claimed that if Pakistan wins even one match in the series, it will be a miracle for them.

“[The] Pakistan team consists of young players, [the] England series will be difficult for them. It does not seem possible for Pakistan to win the series,” Ajmal was quoted as stating by Ary Sports.
“It would be a miracle if Pakistan even wins one match. As a Pakistani, I pray that the national team performs well in the series,” he added.
Sarfaraz Ahmed was the captain of the Pakistan side the last time they toured England in2018 The two-Test series ended in 1-1 draw that year.
