On 2nd January Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced a 16-member squad for the 3-match ODI series against Ireland, scheduled in Oman later on this month.
The 3 ODIs, which are part of the International Cricket Council’s World Cup Super League, was initially scheduled to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Due to visa problems, they will now be played in Oman.
Many Afghan players are in the Big Bash League, and they are asked to come back in due course of time before the series starts on January 18.
